The concept is very much similar to hair extensions. An adhesive is used to attach a longer hair strand to the shorter ones, like in the case of semi-bald people with a few stubbles of hair on their head. It also works for those who are suffering from total baldness. For them, double adhesive tapes are used so that the synthetic hair strands would attach directly into their scalp.
Causes DOUBLE SIDED SELF ADHESIVE TAPES In all likelihood someone probably did spill water on it. Or perhaps, the framing of the photograph has little margin for natural expansion. And then, there's the enemy of all art - humidity.
Make sure that the surface you are mounting the LED strips to is clean and dry. Peel off the vinyl backing to the adhesive strip. Press the strip firmly in place in its planned position.
You will need a steel ruler, a craft knife and a cutting mat that has a grid on it. Cut a strip of paper 1cm x adhesive tapes 2cm. Lay the strip onto the mat so that it fits into the grid. Lay your ruler across it from the midpoint of the top edge to one bottom corner. Fold up the triangle of paper. Next repeat the process on the opposite side to make a folded corner. Press the folds down well. Cut a triangle of double sided tape and stick it to the folded paper triangle to close the gap. Repeat this process for as many photo corners as you need.
Put your pillows in a contractor bag, seal it, and throw it in the trash. Cleaning a pillow thoroughly is tough, so you're better off starting with a new one.
Duct tape is a great, inexpensive tool to keep in your bag of home repair tricks. Its strength and flexibility make it ideal for most anything. Ironically, this tape does not work well for repairing heating and cooling ducts, as it becomes brittle and loses its adhesive strength when subjected to constantly fluctuating temperatures.
